An interview about a job

Tell about your job. is what you any different than others in your occupation do?
I'm school bus driver my job differ other drivers in that i deal with alot of needs children.
I transport kids with mental and physical handicaps,some of whom are autistic and some almost blind. I also work as an ambassador going to schools and presenting safety programs to kids.

Can you tell me about your background and how you got into this field?
After I finished high school I studied upholstery at community college. I also took a variety of a night school courses. My previous job experince includes factory production work, and some retail work in a variety store. I also held many volunteer positions in the community.

What personal charactristic are required for someone to be successful in your job?
School bus driver must really care about children and understand their differences. They should be practical and personable. They also need to be very focused and be able to keep an eye so everyting that's going on, both on the road and the bus.

How much job security is there for people in your field?
Job security for bus driver depends alot on how the employer is. Some school bus drivers work for the school board and are part of a union, so their positions are very secure. However when you work for a bus company,this may not be the case. Generaly, a position in in large company are more secure than the smaller ones.

What other job can you do the skills that you have gained in this field?
Bus drivers can become truckers, couriers or other driving professions.

What are the biggest Challenge in your job?
There is challenging aspects to bus driver's job. i fin driving in adverse weather condition difficult, and dealing with misbehaving children is also hard sometimes is hard to maintain positive atitude in negative situations, such as traffic jams and and conflict among passengers.
